While backpacking in Corsica, the cold seeped through Jackson’s traditional hammock, leading him to dream up a hammock that could provide warmth, comfort, and ease of setup—qualities missing from existing gear. Driven by his passion for camping and a knack for problem-solving, Jackson spent countless hours designing and testing prototypes, even building a custom heat press to craft the first working model of Atmos.

En corse to Madison River
Inspiration comes in moments when you least expect it. For me it came on an island in the Mediterranean. Corsica. Near a small town named Vivario.
It's June of 2022 and I’m backpacking Europe with my younger brother. A hike up a mountain and descent in the evening results in us having to pitch hammocks in a bush off the side of the road. Cold and dirty we settled into our hammocks. Unable to sleep I began to stare up at the stars and my memories started to run with them.
Years earlier, near Bozeman, Montana we took a wrong turn. Our family, looking for a highway, got lost and ended up off the side of the road along the Madison River. We didn't have a raft but we had an inflatable air mattress. The current was slow. The water was warm. It was perfect.
So I’m lying in my hammock, thoughts drifting back to two boys floating down the Madison River…
